The St. Louis Railway Club was formed in 1971 through the disbandment of the former Car, Diesel, and Maintenance of Way Clubs of St. Louis.

The purpose of the club is to meet, discuss, and exchange ideas so as to broaden the knowledge of those engaged in design, construction, maintenance, and operation of railroad cars, locomotives, track, and bridge structures. The club is also designed to promote a closer alliance between the railroads and the various railway supply and service companies.

While this club encompasses all aspects of railroad engineering and maintenance, its scope is also designed to broaden the interest of all railroad departments. Active members are current employees of railroads or railroad regulatory bodies, and associate members are those engaged in supplying railroad products or services to all of the railroad companies.

Annual membership dues are as follows:

Active Railroad Employee $10.00
First Supply or Service Associate $25.00
Subsequent Supply or Service Associates $15.00
Retired Members $5.00

The Club meets in February, April, October, November, and December annually. We feature guest speakers at our February, April, and November meetings. Our October meeting is our Man of the Year Meeting, and our December meeting is our Holiday Dinner Dance. Detailed meeting notices are sent out to each member about two (2) weeks before the meeting date.

Currently, we have approximately 115 members. We are always looking for new members to grow our club.
